FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter (ABC-FEC) is pleased to announce that Sonny Maken has joined as Chief Operating Officer.
In this role, Maken will be responsible for the daily business operations and administration of the ABC-FEC family of companies, including ABC-FEC, ABC Institute and ABC Cares Foundation.

Maken joins ABC-FEC with significant experience in development, operations, management, acquisition, and forecasting in public, private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining ABC-FEC, Maken worked as Chief Development Officer for a local city government He is also the founder and CEO of The Maken Group, a firm specializing in consulting and advisory services, real estate and mergers and acquisitions.
He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. He also holds his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
